About These Projects

Watching lessons teaches you the syntax, but building something is what makes it stick. These three projects let you apply the whole course: designing and building a relational database, answering business questions with queries, and cleaning a messy real-world dataset.

Each project is a guided walkthrough, so follow along in your own database, then try changing the questions or the data to make it yours. Save your SQL files and publish them on GitHub, because finished projects make a strong portfolio.

The walkthroughs use MySQL or SQL Server, so the syntax may differ slightly from your own database. Check the documentation when a command doesn't run as shown.
