You now have a complete application: a data layer, a Web API, security, and a user interface. The last step is getting it out of your machine and keeping it healthy once real people use it. This module covers the three skills that make that possible.
First, containers. With Docker you package your app and everything it needs into an image that runs the same way everywhere, and with Docker Compose you run several containers together, such as your API and its SQL Server database. Then, cloud: you deploy your Web API to Azure App Service and automate the process with a CI/CD pipeline.
Finally, observability. Once an app is running in production you need to see what it is doing. You'll learn how OpenTelemetry adds traces, metrics, and logs to an ASP.NET Core application so you can find and fix problems quickly. This is the final module, so when you finish, head to the Projects page to put everything you've learned into practice.
A fast, practical introduction to containers for .NET: writing a Dockerfile for your application, building the image, and running it as a container.
Sets up Docker Compose to run a .NET Web API together with a SQL Server database, each in its own container, so the whole stack starts with a single command.
