Module 01 of 10

C# Fundamentals

Lessons

About This Module

Every .NET application is written in a language, and for most developers that language is C#. It is a modern, strongly typed, object-oriented language that is used for web APIs, desktop tools, cloud services, and games alike, which makes it one of the most useful languages to learn first.

You'll start with what C# is and how a first program runs, then move through variables and data types, operators, and control flow with conditions and loops. From there the module covers methods, arrays and collections, and the object-oriented building blocks you will use in every later module: classes, constructors, inheritance, and interfaces.

With the core of the language in place, you'll be ready for the next module, .NET Platform & Tooling, which looks at the runtime, the SDK, and the tools that build and run your code.
