You can now build, deploy, and observe applications. The final step is making all of that easy and safe for other developers to use. An Internal Developer Platform (IDP) packages your infrastructure, pipelines, and tooling into a self-service experience, so teams can ship without needing to be infrastructure experts.
You'll start with platform engineering itself: what it is, why it exists, and how it differs from DevOps. Then you'll look at Backstage, the open-source framework for building developer portals and service catalogs.
Finally, you'll cover security. DevSecOps builds security into every stage of the delivery pipeline instead of bolting it on at the end, so the platform you build is secure by default.
Once you finish this module, put everything together in the Projects section.
What platform engineering is, why it exists, and how self-service abstractions and standardization help developers ship faster and more reliably at scale.

An introduction to DevSecOps and why security needs to be part of the whole software delivery process, not an afterthought.
