Module 07 of 12

Facilitation Skills

Lessons

About This Module

Agile teams spend a lot of their time in conversation: planning, refining, reviewing, and reflecting. Facilitation is the skill of helping a group do that work well, guiding the process so the group reaches its own decisions rather than having answers handed to it.

You'll start with facilitating meetings and workshops, covering preparation, agendas, managing flow, and staying aware of the room. Next you'll look at facilitating retrospectives, from setting the stage and gathering insights to choosing topics and agreeing on action items. The module closes with engaging every voice, including practical ways to draw quieter participants into the conversation.

With these skills in place, you'll be ready for the next module, Coaching & Mentoring Skills, where you look at how to help individuals and teams grow through questions, feedback, and guidance.
