Module 08 of 10

Coaching Teams & Resolving Conflict

Lessons

About This Module

The Scrum Master is accountable for the Scrum Team's effectiveness, and a big part of that is coaching the team members in self-management and cross-functionality. Coaching is different from telling people what to do. It helps the team find its own answers and grow its own ability to work well together.

You'll start with practical coaching tips for Scrum Masters, then look at self-management and how the wider organization supports a Scrum Team in managing itself. After that you'll turn to the Scrum Values of Respect and Openness. These values give a team a shared basis for honest conversations, which is where disagreements get worked through in a healthy way.

With coaching and team values in view, you'll be ready for the next module, Metrics & Continuous Improvement, where you look at how a team can understand its progress and keep getting better.
